EAMCET Web counselling procedure

Eamcet 2009 mock counselling | Eamcet 2009 Web counselling process scratch card details.

EAMCET 2009 ranks are announced and the next step is the counseling process which will eventually place the student in their choice of college. With the Web counseling process taking the place of conventional counseling, this year the process would be a little different from previous years and here’s a brief overview of the Web Counseling process.

First the candidates will be called as per their ranks where the usual registration takes place and next proceed to the certificate verification stage. The certificates required include EAMCET rank card and Hall ticket, Intermediate (or its equivalent) marks memo, SSC marks memo, Study certificates from class VI, caste certificate in case of reservation, residence certificate of previous 10 years of Father/Mother (In AP), Transfer certificate from the last studied institution.

(Please look at the checklist for anymore certificates that might be required in the actual counseling notification issued by JNTU)

After finishing the certificate verifications, the candidate will be given a ’scratch card’ which is to be used to select their choice of colleges.

The scratch card will have a serial number and a password which should be kept as a secret to avoid any misuse.

The web counseling notification and the website URL will be announced in all leading news papers which the students must go through thoroughly. Be sure to check and re-check the correct college codes and branch codes before entering. The Web counseling User Interface will be very friendly and you’ll be guided at every page that you visit. Be sure to select as many colleges as possible so that you don’t get into a situation where you are not allotted a seat. It’s always better to group your colleges list under Risk, Medium and Easy. Risk colleges are the ones where getting a seat is very difficult but if you get it, then that would be your first choice. Medium colleges are the ones where you have a 50-50 chance of getting through and Easy colleges are the ones where you are assured of a seat.

The Web Interface will be opened only for a Limited period of days and you have to make your selection with in those stipulated days. You can change your options for a maximum of 10 times. Once you confirm and college be sure to press the confirm button and when you finish selecting your college list, press the Freeze button. Remember that once you’ve pressed the Freeze button you’ll not be able to change your options. Any Un-freezed options will automatically be freezed at the end of the stipulated time period.

Once the entire process is finished you’ll be presented a allotment order indicating the college in which you are admitted and you have to report to that college to finish the formalities.
