How much a IEEE or CSI Account is important for a UG and PG Students/ Importance of Having IEEE Account For Every engineer

Its very Essential to have an IEEE account for every student which will be useful for their entire Engineering course and also in M-tech .
·      Its better to create an IEEE Account in first year itself...
·      The member in IEEE can download the latest published projects and conference papers etc ..such that there will be no need of going to institutes for project work and the student can individually do the project in college itself on the new topics with the help of our faculty which is beneficial in many ways and we can gain more subject knowledge... rather than doing projects in institutes...
·      It will be very useful for Students who are interested in Technical symposiums and conferences.
·      To create IEEE Account the cost will be $32.
·      When You hold the IEEE Account on Sharing Basis (4-5 members holding an account) will more beneficial...
·      You can Download many papers,Projects etc for free of cost with single account.
·      For non-members the cost of one paper will be nearly $30
·      So its better to hold An IEEE account For a group....

Your IEEE Account can be used for the following:
· Sign into various IEEE sites with a single account
· Personalize your IEEE experience
· Save searches and set alerts in IEEE Xplore
· Access personal subscriptions in IEEE Xplore
· Participate in online communities
· Get member discounts (IEEE Members only)
· Manage your profile and order history

Don't ignore it...every student will face the problem in their final year for
not having the IEEEaccount mostly during the technical seminar. so create
the IEEE account as early as possible..
Here are 14 quick strategies to get and keep yourself motivated:

1. Condition your mind. Train yourself to think positive thoughts while avoiding negative thoughts.
2. Condition your body. It takes physical energy to take action.  Get your food and exercise budget in place and follow it like a business plan.
3. Avoid negative people. They drain your energy and waste your time, so hanging with them is like shooting yourself in the foot.
4. Seek out the similarly motivated. Their positive energy will rub off on you and you can imitate their success strategies.

5. Have goals–but remain flexible. No plan should be cast in concrete, lest it become more important than achieving the goal.
6. Act with a higher purpose.  Any activity or action that doesn’t serve your higher goal is wasted effort--and should be avoided.
7. Take responsibility for your own results. If you blame (or credit) luck, fate or divine intervention, you’ll always have an excuse.
8. Stretch past your limits on a daily basis. Walking the old, familiar paths is how you grow old. Stretching makes you grow and evolve.

9. Don't wait for perfection; do it now! Perfectionists are the losers in the game of life.  Strive for excellence rather than the unachievable.
10. Celebrate your failures. Your most important lessons in life will come from what you don't achieve. Take time to understand where you fell short.
11. Don’t take success too seriously. Success can breed tomorrow's failure if you use it as an excuse to become complacent.
12. Avoid weak goals.  Goals are the soul of achievement, so never begin them with "I'll try ..."  Always start with "I will" or "I must."
13. Treat inaction as the only real failure.  If you don’t take action, you fail by default and can't even learn from the experience.
14. Think before you speak.  Keep silent rather than express something that doesn’t serve your purpose.
Best HR Questions for HR Round To test the candidate nature.
Here are some of the typical...l HR questions asked to find out if the candidates have "out of box" thinking capability

Question 1: "What will you do if I run away with your sister?"

The candidate who was selected answered " I will not get a better match for my sister than you, sir."

Question 2: Interviewer (to a student girl candidate) - What if one morning you woke up & found that you were pregnant ?

I will be very excited and take a day off, to celebrate with my husband. (Normally an unmarried girl will be shocked to hear this, but she managed it well. Why should I think it in the wrong way, she said later when asked.)

Question 3:Interviewer: He ordered a cup of coffee for the candidate. Coffee arrived and was kept before the candidate, then he asked "What is before you?"

Candidate: Instantly replied "Tea" and got selected.

(You know how and why did he say "TEA" when he knows very well that coffee was kept before him?.
Answer: The question was "What is before you U? (-alphabet). Reply was "TEA" T (- alphabet).

Question 4: Where Lord Rama would have celebrated his "First Diwali"?

People will start thinking of Ayodya, Mithila [Janaki's place], Lanka etc...

But the logic is, Diwali was a celebrated as a mark of Lord Krishna Killing Narakasura. In Dusavataar, Krishnavathaar comes after Raamavathaar.

So, Lord Rama would not have celebrated the Diwali At all!

Question 5: You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night, it's raining heavily, when suddenly you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for a bus:

An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
An old friend who once saved your life.
The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing very well that there could only be one passenger in your car?

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.

* You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first; * or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to ! pay him back. *
However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again...

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. Guess what was his answer?

He simply answered:

"I would give the car keys to my Old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams."

Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations. Never forget to "Think Outside of the Box."

Question 6: The interviewer asked the candidate "This is your last question of the interview. Please tell me the exact position of the center of this table where u have kept your files."

Candidate confidently put one of his finger at some point at the table and said that this was the central point at the table. Interviewer asked "how did you decide that this is the central point of this table?", then he answers quickly that "Sir you are not supposed to ask any more question, as it was the last question as you promised .

And hence, he was selected as because of his quick-wittiness.

This is what Interviewer expects from the Interviewee. .

The goal of group discussions

The idea of group discussions is to judge you on the following traits:
  • Knowledge of the subject
  • Leadership skills
  • Communication skills
  • Team skills
  • Confidence
  • Alertness and ability to think on your feet

Preparing for group discussions

  • Work on your communication skills- In group discussions, you are expected to converse in English throughout the entire session. You shouldn’t make the mistake of using your regional language at any point in time during the GD. It is important that you practice your communications before the GD. Attend mock discussions and try to perform to the best of your ability. You could also ask your friends and family to help you out with impromptu discussions. Make it a point to converse in English during every discussion you have, whether with friends, or your batch mates.

  • Read a lot of books and magazines- Reading is an important part of cracking group discussions. Read a lot of books, magazines and newspapers. Reading exposes you to different perspectives on a certain issue. It helps to build your own perspective, which comes in handy during a GD.

  • Cultivate the habit of looking at things differently- An important aspect of leadership is creativity. Some people are naturally creative, while others have to cultivate the habit. Much before your GD, cultivate the habit of looking at things from a different angle. Sometimes, you are presented with a GD topic that’s completely abstract, such as “a pink scarf flying over the Red Fort.” Thinking out of the box helps in such situations.

  • Practice body language- Actions speak louder than words. You are assessed from the moment you walk into a GD hall. Apart from working on your speaking skills, it is important that you work on your overall body language too. Again, to some people, it comes naturally, while others have to work hard at it. The idea is to portray confidence and total control even though you may be feeling nervous inside. Sitting with an upright posture, making eye contact while speaking, keeping your legs straight, firmly on the floor and stationery are just body language tips you can practice for a better GD performance.

  • Practice in front of the mirror- If you can’t get hold of anyone to help you prepare, make mirror your best friend. Dress as you would on the day of the GD, sit in front of the mirror and speak as fluently as possible. Try to keep your body posture positive and do not become nervous even if you fumble. Practice half an hour every day, and slowly, you will get better at it.
English language is the official business language around the world. If you are dreaming about a great career in any field, being proficient in written and spoken English is important. In the globalized world of today, you will be dealing with a lot of international clients, travelling places etc. If you have the requisite English language skills, you will find adjusting to new environments and new job responsibilities a lot easier.

If you are not too confident about your English language skills, here are top 10 tips that will help you gain more confidence:
  1. Read good English books- Reading always helps. You may have read this almost everywhere, but it deserves another mention. Pick up books that interest you. In the beginning, you will be slow while reading the books. However, as you keep adding books to your library, you will start improving.

  2. Learn 2 new words everyday- Make it a point to learn two new words every day. Read newspapers and magazines and encircle the words you don’t know the meaning of. Look up their meanings in the dictionary and try using them in a sentence.

  3. Converse in English with your friends and family- You may be shy speaking in English in front of others. But you can always make mistakes in front of your family members and friends. Converse with them in English as much as you can. Slowly, you will start building confidence.

  4. Listen to English language CDs- There are English language MP3s available in the market. Buy some of these and listen to them. They will help you get the right pronunciation of words.

  5. Try and sing along English songs- You may not like listening to English songs. However, listening to English songs is a fun way to improve your English language skills. As you listen to them, try to decipher the lyrics and sing along.

  6. Make mistakes- Do not be afraid to make mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes. In fact, you actually learn from your mistakes. When you fumble while speaking, or commit a grammatical error while writing, there will be people who will help you out. And you always tend to remember mistakes that happen in front of people.

  7. Think in English- Another innovative way to improve your English language skills. When you are thinking something, try to think in English. Phrase sentences yourself, and if possible, write them down too.

  8. Translate your Hindi newspaper- Most people who are not comfortable with English, read Hindi newspapers or newspapers in their native language. Try and translate one article everyday in English. Once you translate, get it checked by somebody. Mark your mistakes and try not to repeat them the next time.

  9. Don’t go after fancy words- English is not about using big words. In fact, unless you are an author, big words are not going to get you anywhere. Try not to fret too much about difficult words. Focus on the basics.

  10. Chat in English- We all have some sort of a Messenger on our phone, the most popular being Whatsapp. When you are chatting with your friend over the phone or online, try to do that in English. It helps.

Vedic Education of Numbers Why 1 is One and 2 is Two ?

Have you ever thought why........ 1 means "one", and 2 means "two"?

The roman numerals are easy to understand but what was the logic behind the numbers?

It's all about angles !

It's the number of angles.

If one writes the numbers down (see below) on a piece of paper in their older forms, one quickly sees why.

I have marked the angles with "o"s.

No 1 has one angle.
No 2 has two angles.
No 3 has three angles.
etc.

and "O" has no angles
