Engineering. admissions likely late next week
The process of engineering admissions is likely to begin on July 11
or 12 this year, the orders for which may come after the Eamcet
Admissions Committee meeting on July 4. All this provided the government
issues orders related to management quota admissions by Thursday.
Chairman of the AP State Council for Higher Education L. Venugopal Reddy
said the Government Orders were expected on Thursday, and the
announcement of schedule would depend on the GOs.
“The Eamcet committee meeting will decide the final dates though we are
tentatively planning to issue counselling notification for July 10 or
11,” he said. If the notification is issued as per plan, certificate
verification would begin a week after that, and the first-phase of web
counselling would be completed by the month-end.
Management quota admissions are likely to be held as per the procedure
followed last year. Colleges have to individually advertise in two
popular newspapers calling for applications and then provide the forms
online as well as offline to ensure that no one is denied the
applications.
The merit list has to then be prepared, giving top priority to JEE
candidates, followed by Eamcet-qualified candidates and Intermediate
scores.
